Sharing the Love Spreading the Joy

Dinner On The Grounds![]() Dinner on the Grounds is an old phrase that described a time when people prepared their favorite dishes and brought several of them to church, and after worship they would spread their covered dishes from home for all to enjoy.
Well, we won't be having "Dinner On The Grounds", but we will be bringing our covered dishes to church on September 18th. You see, that Sunday is designated as Heritage Sunday. But I still call it Homecoming Sunday. It is true that the worship will be inspiring. Rev. David Autry will be the preacher for that day, and his wife Linda will be with us also. David served as the pastor of the church when the congregation moved from the historic building on Main Street to our present location. You can see a printed copy of his message (Where Shall We Sing God's Song?) on that last Sunday that this congregation worshiped on Main St.
No, you are right. We won't have dinner on the grounds, but we will enjoy the new dining room in Grace Hall.
It is true that the food will be delicious! Someone will bring a delicious banana pudding! It is the best! But most important of all, will be the fellowship. Everyone is welcome to stay and eat. The entire congregation is encouraged to fellowship together. Please plan to come and enjoy the food and the fellowship. Everyone is encouraged to prepare several dishes, and bring them to Grace Hall. There will be people at Grace Hall starting about 9:30 to help you as you bring your dishes. Helpers will be available throughout the morning as people arrive for Sunday School at 10 a.m. or for worship at 11 am. The food will be kept warm or cold as needed.
Invite our neighbors and friends, fix multiple dishes, and come enjoy the worship service and the fellowship.
