Anyone traveling Highway 441 north or south will see the church's sign otn the east side of the intersection with New High Schools Road. The actual address is 1331 New High Shoals Road, Watkinsville, Georgia. Click here for a map and directions. Parking is available behind the church, on the south and west sides of the building. Two drives into the church property from New High Shoals Road are available. Special needs parking is available in the front of the church. One entrance to the church is located on the southeast corner of the sanctuary, and the other is located on the north side of the sanctuary. Ushers will be there to assist you at all entrances. What do folks wear to worship?
Come comfortably. Some of our attendees wear 'Sunday Best', but most wear comfortable clothes on Sunday mornings. Don't worry about what you wear -- just come to worship God and have fellowship with other Christians. What do I bring?
You can bring a Bible if you have one. Bibles are located in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience. When do I need to arrive?
Worship is Sunday mornings at 8:45, 9:45, and 11:00, with Sunday School for all ages at 9:45. Plan to be at the church about 10 minutes ahead of time to allow time for parking. What do I do our children go?
WFUMC has an excellent program for children. Ushers will help you in getting your children to the nursery or class. What about child security?
Child security is taken very seriously at WFUMC. Our nursery is staffed by paid staff and volunteers. Everyone working with nursery age, children and youth, are required to go through our "Reduce The Risk" training program, and a background check by a professional agency. Also, all nursery parents are given a restaurant style pager in case they are needed while their child is in the nursery. No one is allowed to take a child from the nursery or children's program unless previously signed by the parents. Click here for more information. |
