prayer shawl ministry

This group is newly formed at WFUMC. Group members meet monthly to share patterns for either knitted or crocheted prayer shawls and to pray over those that have been completed and are ready to be given to those who have need.

Anyone might receive a prayer shawl, from expectant mothers, to those undergoing surgery or chemo therapy, to those who have lost a loved one, or those who are serving in the military. There is a virtually endless list of those who might receive one. Each is made with prayer stitched into it and all are offered as gifts of love anonymously by members of the team.
