Elena Mitchell

Elena Mitchell is in her first year of seminary at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. She graduated from the University of Georgia last year with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family Science and minors in Human Services and Religion. She is currently working towards ordination as a deacon in the United Methodist Church.

Elena loves working with children, and prior to becoming the children’s minister at Watkinsville First, she served as a Children’s Minister Intern and Interim Director at Roswell United Methodist Church. Her call to children’s ministry has been present since high school, and it is such a blessing for her to love on and share her faith with these children and families.

Elena loves to read, take walks, and enjoy time with friends and family in her free time. She has found a family here at Watkinsville First and hopes you will, too!
