Jesse Hu

Jesse is attending the University of Georgia, Hugh Hodgson School of Music Athens, Georgia. He is completing his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance | Minor, Music Theory. He obtained a Master of Music (MM) in Piano Performance from Johns Hopkins University, Peabody Institute, and a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Piano Performance from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music.

Jesse is the Winner of the UGA Concerto Competition (October 2021), Merit Scholarship from the Peabody Institute (August 2018–December 2020), Outstanding Recital Award from the University of Denver (June 2018).

Jesse’s Performance Highlights

• Performed as a soloist with the UGA Symphony Orchestra, playing Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4, after winning the UGA Concerto Competition (March 2022).
• Selected to perform for Wu Han, co-artistic director of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, at a masterclass (September 2024).
• Recent solo and chamber recitals at the UGA Performing Arts Center, featuring works by Schubert, Debussy, Scriabin, and Dvořák (2023–2024).
